Your Monarch Garden
Your Monarch butterfly garden is a perennial gift to Monarchs and
a host to many of nature's most gracious offerings. Butterflies, honeybees, hummingbirds, ladybugs, praying mantises, and lacewings are a few treats you'll find.

Milkweed plants are the key to your garden's success. Colors include white, pink, purple, yellow and orange. Leaves can be broad or threadlike. Some prefer dry and full sun while others thrive near swamp or wetland and partial shade.

The reward of planting even one milkweed plant is that a Monarch butterfly will find it, even if you've never seen a Monarch on your property before. With natural milkweed in such short supply, every plant is a caterpillar buffet that would not have existed the year before. As a perennial, your plant will support multiple generations of Monarch butterfly caterpillars each year, year after year.
